Harry Potter at 30, still fine, thank you
On Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling
I went back to it during a very stressful month at work because I wanted something I already knew. What I hadn't noticed as a kid is how funny the first few chapters are. The Dursleys are a great piece of comic writing.
I know the conversation around the author has become hard for a lot of readers, and I understand if you'd rather not. For me, I'm mostly reading the copy my father bought me in Nilkhet when I was ten. It still has his handwriting in the front.
