Deep Work is one good idea, and that's enough

It's mostly one idea: focused work without interruption is getting rarer and more valuable, so protect it. There's a fair amount of padding and a lot of examples of professors who can ignore their email, which most of us can't.

I took one thing from it. I block out two hours each morning with notifications off and I tell people when I'll get back to them. My office didn't collapse. Read the first half and leave the rest for someone else.
