The Martian is the most fun I've had with chemistry

I failed a chemistry test in class nine, and here I am at midnight, excited about a man making water out of rocket fuel.

The writing isn't fancy. The characters back on Earth are thin. None of that matters, because the voice is so funny and every problem gets solved on the page, step by step, and then something else breaks. Skip it if you want literature. If you want a book you'll finish in two evenings, here you go.
